Android 3.0, 3.1, and 3.2: Honeycomb
Honeycomb is a sheet of hexagonal cells, bees build out of wax and fill with honey. Fresh honeycombs can be consumed as a dessert-some people chew or even consumed. Honeycomb released in February 2011 and was upgraded by 3.1 and 3.2 in July and August 2011. Google posted different previews and highlights on Honeycomb.

Honeycomb was made for tablets, which was implied that Android OS 2.x was not That did not stop Samsung and a slew of small manufacturers from Android 2.X tablets of different sizes before the end of 2010. Motorola Xoom was the first Android 3.x tablet to release. It has since been followed by many others.

  3. Added System Bar, featuring quick access to notifications, status, and soft navigation buttons, available at the bottom of the screen.

  5. Simplified multitasking - tapping Recent applications in the System Bar allows users to see snapshots of tasks underway and quickly jump from one application to another.

  8. Multiple browser tabs replacing browser windows, plus form auto-fill and a new "incognito" mode allowing anonymous browsing.
  9. Quick access to camera exposure, focus, flash, zoom, front-facing camera, time-lapse, and other camera features.
  10. Ability to see albums and other collections in full-screen mode in Gallery, with easy access to thumbnails for other photos
  11. New two-pane Contacts UI and Fast Scroll to let users easily organize and locate contacts.
  12. New two-page email, to enable users to select one or more messages.
  13. Hardware acceleration.

  15. Ability to encrypt all user data
